Personally, I believe that Amazfit has the best affordable smart watches on the market. So you can imagine my joy when I heard about the new models, Amazfil GTS 3 and GTR 3. The previous models were amazing in terms of price to performance ratio, but now, they've taken it to the next level.
These models offer:
Ţhe crown, one of the buttons commonly found in watch ancestor, points to a more classic design. Navigation crown has been used for example in Apple Watches, now it's also available for GTR 3. One of its functions is scrolling through lists or the menu.
The front side is almost without a frame, with the display covering 66 % of the front side. Speaking about the display... it's magnificent. We can see from pictures and videos that it's big enough (1.39"), high definition (454×454), sufficient pixel density (326 ppi) and backlight (1000 nits).

We will find the same sensors as we did with the previous model, and there is nothing wrong about it. That's because it was really good even in the previous model. There'll be a biometric sensor capturing your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress levels.
Besides that, the watch will offer accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and GPS to track our routes.
You can also spare some time with Alexa, a voice-controlled assistant, which you can connect to your smart home or summon it to use your watch.
Now, it's a pity that we still cannot pay with this watch, but I got somehow used to this with Chinese producers. What is also pity is that the watches do not support third party apps or streaming services.
A new arrival is the upgraded PRO version, making a first-time appearance in the GTR series. This variant comes with a leather strap, unlike the basic versions with silicone straps.
One of the main differences is that you can manage your phone calls with the PRO version and that there is a 2.3 GB built-in storage for music.
Even the display is a bit more refined. It's bigger (1.45"), with higher resolution (480×480 px) and sharper (331 ppi). But the main difference is that the frame is slightly smaller, so the display makes up 70 % of the front side.
The battery in this model is also a bit better and the watch lasts up to 10 days when being actively used. The basic model, however, manages 'only' 6 days.
The PRO version is also lighter. The basic version weights 49 grams, the PRO one only 32 grams.
A small difference is also in the number of sports modes, but more details about that in the review. :)
Amazfit GTS 3 is basically the same as the GTR 3 model, only with edges. An added rotating crown has taken its righteous place in the middle of the right case side.
The display has a lot of similar features as the GTR 3 above. However, the sqare case gives the display more space – which is reflected in the 1.75-inch diagonal. The definition is 390×450 pixels, pixel density 341 ppi and backlighting also at 1000 nits.
The sensors and equipment is completely identical, but I would like to highlight the weight and thinness of the watch. Weighing at only 24 grams and only 8.8 mm thin, you could even forget that you're wearing a watch.
If you'd prefer the square model, then unfortunately, the PRO version will not be available in the square version. So if you'd like to use GTS 3 with the functions for calling, listening to music, that is not possible. We can make use of these functions only in the Amazfit GTR 3 PRO.
