At the IFA 2022, Huawei introduced the new model Huawei Watch D, which measures your blood pressure using an inflatable cuff on your wrist. On top of this, the watch also does ECG, calling, and other great features that we got so used to with Huawei watches.
When manufacturers decided this year to make GPS data more precise using the Multi-GNSS system, Huawei did the same. But it didn't stop at that and went on to fitness features. That's why the biggest catch of this watch is ECG and taking blood pressure using an inflatable airbag on your wrist. And I would say that it is, so far, the very first watch of its kind.
If we look at the design of the watch, it looks slightly larger than the Huawei Watch Fit 2. A rectangular case with two mechanical buttons on the side. The measurements of 46 x 30 mm / 1.81" x 1.18" and weight of 21 g are suitable for both sexes, and since the weight is so low, you won't even notice the watch at night.
The straps should come in three versions. Silicone, leather, and metal. All of them come with a robust clasp as the watch has to withstand tension when measuring blood pressure.

Huawei Watch Fit 2 Review – Tackling the bounds of impossible
For ECG, Huawei uses a biometric spot where you lay a finger, close the circuit, making the watch able to estimate the sinusoidal heart rate pattern.
To measure your blood pressure, Huawei caused a revolution by using an airbag in the strap. It's a minuscule blood pressure monitor. There is a minipump in the watch which blows air into the cuff during measuring. This technology makes it possible to eradicate errors caused by optical sensors since the watch is tight around your arm.
It looks like the cuff won't bother you when wearing the watch.
In my opinion, it is revolutionary and as Huawei started, so will other companies follow in its steps when it comes to this technology.
Naturally, the watch will offer classic fitness features like steps, stress, heart rate, sleep, etc...
Besides the features named above, you can also use the watch to call within Bluetooth range, send pre-installed message replies, and the usual smart features.
Especially when combined with the battery-life of seven days, this watch is a dream come true.:-)
On top of all this, there is the sensitive GPS chip (according to the manufacturer) and 70 sport modes.
Honestly, this watch impressed me and I'm looking forward to the watch coming into the Czech Republic to test all the features.
I don't want to jump to conclusions and say that this is the best watch with health problems or something. But for now, I like how the watch sounds.
What do you think about this watch? Would you believe your blood pressure value measured from your wrist?
